Understanding Net Run Rate

Formula: NRR = (Total Runs Scored รท Total Overs Faced) โˆ’ (Total Runs Conceded รท Total Overs Bowled)

What is NRR? Net Run Rate is used in cricket tournaments to rank teams with equal points. It reflects the relative scoring and conceding rates across all matches.

Why It Matters: In tournaments like IPL, World Cup, or T20 leagues, teams with the same points are separated by NRR. A positive NRR improves your tournament standing.

Improving NRR: Win by large margins (score quickly or bowl opponents out cheaply), and minimize defeat margins when losing.
