Newcastle's Livramento Faces MRI After Fresh Injury Setback
Newcastle United and England full-back Tino Livramento has suffered a fresh injury setback and is set for an MRI scan, casting doubt over his involvement in the upcoming international break.
Livramento picked up the issue in training on Friday, just as he appeared set to earn his first start of the season following recent injury troubles. He had made brief substitute appearances in Newcastle's draw with Bournemouth and defeat to Leeds, and had also been called up to Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures.
Despite his absence, Newcastle secured a 2-1 win over Hull City, with manager Matthias Jaissle saying the club were awaiting the results of the scan before providing further details on the extent of the problem.
