Abhay Singh Wins Squash Men's Singles Silver, Loses to Ng Eain Yow

Abhay Singh won silver in the men's singles squash final at the Asian Games 2026, going down 3-0 to Malaysia's top seed Ng Eain Yow at the Nagoya Kinjo-Futo Arena.

Ng took the opener 11-9 after Singh had fought back from 6-3 down to level at 8-8 and save a game point, before the Malaysian closed it out. Ng then eased through the next two games 11-5, 11-5 to complete the win in straight games.

It is Singh's third Asian Games medal, following team gold and mixed doubles bronze at Hangzhou 2023. The singles finalists also earned their countries a quota place for squash's Olympic debut at LA 2028. India's Anahat Singh was also in gold-medal contention on the same day, facing Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam in the women's singles final.
