What is a Cricket Score Predictor?
A cricket score predictor estimates a team's final innings score based on how they are batting right now. It takes the current run rate and projects it over the overs left, giving a realistic idea of where the innings is headed.
Worked example: a team is 90/2 after 10 overs in a T20. That is a run rate of 9.0. If they kept scoring at the same rate for all 20 overs, the final score would be 180. But teams rarely score at one flat rate — most speed up in the last 5 overs if they still have wickets left, so the real total often ends up 10-15 runs higher than this simple projection.
This calculator uses current run rate projection, which is the simplest and most common method used to estimate a score. It is not the only factor that matters, but it is the easiest one to check quickly during a match.
