Kho Kho Turn / Chase Timer

Count down each turn of a Kho Kho match and move through the four turns of two innings

Manual Timer: This is a practice and scoring aid, not the official match clock — start, pause and advance it yourself in step with the actual turn.

A Kho Kho match is played in two innings, and each innings has two turns: in one turn a team chases while the other team defends, and then the roles swap. Each turn has a fixed duration, with short breaks between turns and a longer break between innings.

This timer counts down a turn from its standard length, lets you move through the four turns of a match and shows when each turn ends, so a scorer, coach or practice session can follow the clock without a separate stopwatch.

A turn is a race against the clock: chasers need to dismiss all defenders before time runs out, and defenders aim to stay on the field as long as possible. The remaining time changes tactics, because chasers take more risks as time falls and defenders look to run out the clock.

In practice sessions, timing turns also helps teams measure how quickly their chasers clear a batch of defenders, a key metric for coaches deciding on rotations and substitutions.

Senior matches commonly use 9-minute turns, while younger age groups and shorter formats use 7 minutes. Always follow the length stated in your tournament rules; the timer lets you select the common durations.
