Milan Beat Udinese 2-0 With Pulisic and Hutchinson Goals

AC Milan beat Udinese 2-0 away in Serie A on October 25, with one goal in each half. Christian Pulisic scored after just six minutes. Omari Hutchinson added the second in the 65th minute. The win took Milan to 18 points and back into the top four.

Pulisic's goal came from a quick free-kick. Luka Modric played the ball over the top before the Udinese defence was set. Pulisic controlled it and finished calmly past goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. He also made three key passes and earned a Sofascore rating of 8.2.

The second goal arrived after the break. Ardon Jashari hit a shot from the edge of the box, and Okoye could only parry it. Hutchinson was first to the rebound and fired it in. It was his first goal for Milan, since joining the club on loan from Nottingham Forest. He and Fikayo Tomori were replaced in the 73rd minute by Musah and Loftus-Cheek.

Milan were the better side throughout. They had 19 shots, seven on target, and an expected goals figure of 3.12. Udinese had 12 shots and an expected goals figure of just 0.42. Okoye also kept the score down late on. He tipped a first-time shot from Goncalo Ramos onto the crossbar, after Pulisic's effort had deflected into Ramos's path.

It was a good response from Milan after a heavy loss in midweek. They had lost 3-0 at Bournemouth in the Europa League on October 22. Under head coach Ruben Amorim, they remain unbeaten in Serie A this season. This was their fifth league win.

For Udinese, it was a sixth straight defeat. They are now deep in the relegation fight, and they created very little in front of goal.

Milan have a busy week ahead. They host Bologna on Wednesday, October 28. Then comes the big one, the Milan derby against Inter on Saturday, October 31.
