Vinícius Júnior Extends Real Madrid Contract Until 2032

Real Madrid have extended Vinícius Júnior's contract through June 2032. The club confirmed the deal on Thursday, ending months of speculation about his future.

The Brazilian winger had entered the final year of his previous deal. Arsenal were reportedly monitoring the situation and stood ready to move in had talks with Madrid broken down. Reports had earlier suggested Vinícius rejected a €22 million-a-year offer before an agreement was finally reached.

Vinícius joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 at the age of 18. Since then he has played 375 matches, scored 128 goals and won 14 trophies, including two Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles. He was also named FIFA's Best Men's Player in 2024.

The club's statement called him one of the most important players in one of the most successful periods in its history. Vinícius reacted on Instagram, writing that eight years at the Bernabéu were "too few" and promising "six more years, and forever."

The extension arrives just as Real Madrid prepare for the 2026-27 season under returning coach José Mourinho, giving the club long-term certainty over one of its most important attacking players.
