Pakistan's National Champions Cup Kicks Off 2026-27 Domestic Season in Multan
Pakistan's 2026-27 domestic cricket season kicks off with the National Champions Cup, a seven-match List A tournament running from August 11 to 18 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
The 50-over competition features four sides — Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues, and Pakistan Gold — playing a single round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final on August 18. All matches will be day-night fixtures with a 3pm local start.
In a notable structural change, the PCB has fixed playing XIs for each team throughout the tournament, backed by a 13-player reserve pool that can only be used in case of injury or concussion, aimed at ensuring consistent team combinations. The 44-player squad and reserve pool were selected with an eye on the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, giving national selectors a live platform to evaluate both established performers and emerging talent ahead of the tournament in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Entry to all matches is free.
