Lyon now sits fifth on Australia's all-time international wicket-taking list, behind only Shane Warne (999 wickets), Glenn McGrath (948), Mitchell Starc (771), who himself completed a 10-wicket match haul in the very same Test, and Brett Lee (718). It caps a landmark match for Australia's bowling attack, with Starc's dominant display taking the headlines while Lyon quietly ticked over yet another significant career milestone in the background.

Having made his Test debut back in 2011 with a five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka in Galle, Lyon's longevity and consistency have made him one of the most reliable spin options in world cricket for well over a decade.
