Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi Replace Injured Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy

India have made two enforced changes to their white-ball squads after hamstring injuries ruled out Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy. Prince Yadav comes in for Rana in the ODI squad for the England series, while Ravi Bishnoi replaces Chakaravarthy in the T20I squad for the tour of Zimbabwe.

Both injuries were picked up in the same match, the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge. Rana felt discomfort in his right hamstring, and scans confirmed a Grade 1 injury, ruling him out of the upcoming ODI series against England. Chakaravarthy had a similar issue in his left hamstring, but his scan showed a more serious Grade 2 injury, keeping him out of the T20I series in Zimbabwe. Both bowlers will now report to the BCCI Centre of Excellence for further assessment and recovery.

Prince Yadav was already with the squad in England for the T20Is and now gets a shot at the 50-over format as well. Bishnoi comes in as spin cover for the Zimbabwe leg, having found limited opportunities during the England tour.

India begin their three-match ODI series against England on July 14 in Birmingham, before the T20I series against Zimbabwe gets underway on July 23 in Harare, with Shreyas Iyer continuing as captain across both assignments.
