Elavenil Valarivan Wins Individual Silver, Second Medal of the Day
Elavenil Valarivan won her second medal of the day at the 2026 Asian Games, taking silver in the women's 10m air rifle individual final. She finished with a score of 252.4, just 0.6 points behind gold medallist Hinata Taichi of Japan, who shot 253.0. Ban Hyojin of South Korea took bronze with 230.4.
The result caps a strong day for Valarivan, who earlier combined with Sonam Uttam Maskar and Vidarsa K Vinod to win silver in the team event, India's first medal of the Games. Her teammate Maskar finished 6th in the individual final with 167.0 points.
