Ireland Call Up Killian Phillips After Losing McGrath and Vale to Injury

Republic of Ireland have called up St Mirren midfielder Killian Phillips after losing Jamie McGrath and Harvey Vale to injuries picked up on club duty over the weekend.

McGrath and Vale both pulled up during their warm-ups ahead of matches for Hibernian and Queens Park Rangers respectively, ruling them out of the upcoming Nations League window. Phillips, who recently returned from his own shin injury, links up with the squad in Dublin before the team travels to Pristina to face Kosovo on Thursday.

Ireland then head to Debrecen in Hungary to face Israel on neutral ground, before a home clash with Austria at the Aviva Stadium. Dara O'Shea is set to captain the side in the absence of Nathan Collins and Seamus Coleman.
