Korea beat Japan to gold in the men's sabre team event, with Hong Kong and Kazakhstan sharing bronze. Japan responded in the women's foil team final, topping South Korea for gold, with Hong Kong and China taking bronze.

The results round out the team fencing programme at Aichi-Nagoya, after Japan had already swept the men's foil and China had topped the women's epee team event earlier in the week.
