Hayato Katsuki Wins Marathon Race Walk Gold for Hosts Japan

Japan claimed gold and bronze in the men's marathon race walk at the Asian Games, with Hayato Katsuki winning on home soil and Motofumi Suwa completing the podium either side of China's Yingcheng Zhou, who took silver.

The result adds to a strong week for race walking at Aichi-Nagoya, following China's clean sweep of both half marathon race walk golds earlier in the Games. Japan's win in the marathon event gives the hosts a share of the spoils in the discipline on home roads.
