Eric Garcia Withdrawn From Spain Lineup With Knee Discomfort

Eric Garcia was withdrawn from Spain's starting lineup just before kickoff against England, after picking up left knee discomfort in the warm-up at Wembley, with Marc Pubill coming in to replace him.

Speaking after Spain's 3-2 win, head coach Luis de la Fuente played down the severity of the issue. "He's had a minor issue, it doesn't look serious. We'll assess whether he can recover once we get back to Madrid, but only if there is absolutely no risk to the player," he said.

Garcia will undergo further evaluation with the Spanish medical staff before a decision is made on his involvement in the upcoming fixtures against Croatia and Czechia. De la Fuente indicated a replacement would be called up if Garcia is unable to recover in time.
