ICC and CSA to Unveil Full 2027 World Cup Schedule on October 1

ICC and Cricket South Africa (CSA) are set to jointly reveal the full match schedule for the 2027 Men's Cricket World Cup on Thursday, October 1, at a special event in Cape Town — marking the traditional one-year-to-go milestone before the tournament.

The reveal is expected to confirm official dates, venues and the complete fixture list for the 14-team tournament, which returns to African soil for the first time since 2003. South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will co-host, after the ICC unveiled the 12 host venues at a launch event in Johannesburg on July 30. Eight venues are in South Africa, including the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and Newlands in Cape Town, with three in Zimbabwe and one, a new ground in Windhoek, in Namibia.

The tournament is provisionally set to run across October and November 2027, with South Africa expected to host the majority of the 54 matches, Zimbabwe around ten and Namibia a handful. The competition expands to 14 teams for the first time since 2011, split into two groups of seven, with the top three from each group advancing to a Super Six stage ahead of the semi-finals and final.

The October 1 event is expected to lock in marquee fixtures, including the dates and venues for potential India-Pakistan clashes, once the official draw and schedule are confirmed.
