Iran and South Korea Break Uzbekistan's Kurash Gold Streak

Iran and South Korea won kurash golds at the Asian Games, breaking Uzbekistan's grip on the sport in the men's -66kg and women's +87kg finals.

In the men's -66kg final, Majid Vahid Barimanlou won gold for Iran. Tajikistan's Yosin Bobokalonov took silver, with Tajikistan's Sarvar Abdushukurov and Kyrgyzstan's Kubanychbek Aibek Uulu sharing bronze.

In the women's +87kg final, Minyoung Kim won gold for South Korea. Chinese Taipei's Liu Li-ling Shih took silver, with Iran's Fatemeh Barmaki Kordkolaee and Kazakhstan's Arailym Shegenova sharing bronze.

Uzbekistan had won four of the first six kurash golds at these Games before these two results.
