Yui Susaki Stays Unbeaten as Japan and Iran Share Final Wrestling Golds

Iran and Japan shared the final freestyle wrestling golds of the Asian Games, with Japan's legendary Yui Susaki continuing her unbeaten career with gold in the women's 50kg final.

In the men's divisions, Iran's Amir Hossein Zare won the 125kg title, with China and Bahrain's Shamil Sharipov among the medallists, while Mohammad Nokhodilarimi added Iran's second gold of the day in the 86kg category, beating Japan's Hayato Ishiguro to the title.

In the women's divisions, Susaki, an Olympic and multiple world champion who remains undefeated in senior international competition, won the 50kg gold ahead of North Korea's Son Hyang Kim, with China and Kazakhstan sharing bronze. Japan completed a wrestling double on the day through Yuka Kagami, who won the women's 76kg title ahead of Kazakhstan's Elmira Syzdykova.
