Japan Add Three More Judo Golds as Korea, UAE and Uzbekistan Also Strike Gold

Japan continued to dominate the judo mats at the Asian Games, winning three more golds across the men's -81kg and women's -63kg and -70kg categories, while South Korea, the UAE and Uzbekistan picked up titles elsewhere on the programme.

Mimi Huh gave South Korea gold in the women's -57kg final, beating Mongolia's Ariunzaya Terbish, while the UAE's Kazbek Naguchev won the men's -73kg title over Uzbekistan's Shakhram Ahadov.

Japan then swept three of the remaining categories, with Sotaro Fujiwara winning men's -81kg, Narumi Tanioka taking women's -63kg and Rin Maeda adding women's -70kg gold. In the men's heaviest category, Uzbekistan won the +100kg final ahead of Japan, with South Korea and Mongolia sharing bronze.
