China, Kazakhstan, Iran and Uzbekistan Share Taekwondo Kyorugi Golds
Taekwondo's kyorugi competition produced four golds for four different nations at the Asian Games, with China, Kazakhstan, Iran and Uzbekistan each topping a weight category.
China's Jingyue Ma won women's -49kg gold, Kazakhstan's Tamirlan Tleules topped the men's -58kg podium, Iran's Saghar Moradi Sheikhlari won women's -67kg, and Uzbekistan's Jasurbek Jaysunov claimed men's -80kg gold. The Philippines' Jeus Gabriel Derick Yape also added a gold in the mixed individual virtual taekwondo event, having earlier taken bronze in the men's poomsae final.
