Australia lead the 2025-2027 WTC table on a points percentage of 80.00, 5.00 percentage points ahead of South Africa.

Australia have won the most Tests so far this cycle (8).

The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) is the league that gives Test cricket a title. Nine leading Test teams play a set of Test series over roughly two years, every Test earns points, and the two teams at the top of the table at the end of the cycle meet in the final.

The 2025-2027 cycle is still in progress, so this table changes as Test matches finish. A team's position can move a long way in a single series, especially early on when teams have played very different numbers of matches.

Game on Field shows the table as published by the ICC, with the full record for every team: matches played, won, lost, drawn, points and points percentage.

P is matches played, W won, L lost, D drawn and N/R no result. PTS is the points a team has won in the cycle.

PCT is the points percentage, which is what the table is ranked by. It is the share of the available points a team has actually won, so teams that have played different numbers of Tests can be compared fairly.

On mobile the row shows P, W, L and PCT. Tap a row to see D, N/R and PTS.

A team earns 12 points for a Test win, 6 for a tie and 4 for a draw, and nothing for a loss. Points can also be deducted, for example when a team bowls its overs too slowly.
