Como Score Three Late Goals to Beat Torino 3-1 and Move Into Serie A's Top Four

Como turned the game around with three goals in the last ten minutes to beat Torino 3-1 in Serie A on Tuesday night, October 27. The Matchday 9 game was played at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The win lifts Como to 20 points and into fourth place in the table. It was their fourth win in a row in all competitions.

Torino had the better of the first half. They took the lead in the 24th minute. Como defender Jacobo Ramon lost the ball under pressure from Fitz-Jim. Fitz-Jim then crossed for Che Adams, who hit the ball home from close range. Como had a goal by Douvikas ruled out early on for a tight offside call. Torino held that lead until the final stretch.

Como had most of the ball. They finished with around 72 percent possession. Cesc Fabregas's side kept coming forward but could not find a way through. In the 77th minute, a cross-shot from Martin Baturina bounced off the top of the crossbar. That was the warning Torino did not heed.

The equaliser came in the 81st minute. Nico Paz swung a cross to the back post, and Jacobo Ramon headed in. Ramon made up for his earlier mistake. Six minutes later, Como were in front. Yan Couto delivered a cross, and Nico Paz glanced a header into the net. That gave him a goal and an assist on the night.

Torino's tired defence had nothing left. In stoppage time, Baturina pressed Vlasic as he tried to clear from the edge of the box. The ball fell to the Como midfielder, who bent it into the bottom corner from about ten yards. The goal came in the second minute of added time and made it 3-1.

Torino had won their previous three matches before this defeat. Their coach Ignazio Abate said he was a little angry after the game, as his team had led for so long. Como host Venezia on Sunday, November 1, at 12:30 local time. Torino travel to Frosinone the same day.
