Sachin Siwach Wins Gold in Men's 60kg Boxing at CWG 2026

Sachin Siwach won gold in the men's 60kg boxing final at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, beating Namibia's Tryagain Morning Ndevelo 3-2 on a split decision in a thrilling contest.

Sachin trailed after the opening round and remained under pressure through the second, with the bout too close to call heading into the decider. He forced a standing count on Ndevelo in the closing seconds of the final round with a big punch that swung momentum his way, and the judges rewarded his late surge with the split verdict.

The win completed a remarkable comeback for Sachin and gave India its sixth boxing gold of the day, following wins from Jaismine Lamboria, Preeti Pawar, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas and Arundhati Choudhary. It set a new Commonwealth Games record for Indian boxing at a single edition.
