Bowling alongside Shree Charani, who took four wickets, Shafali picked up two wickets to help bowl Japan out for just 57. She then opened the batting for India's chase and took the game away from Japan quickly, hitting an unbeaten 40 off just 15 balls, with four boundaries and two sixes. She finished the match herself, hitting a six to seal the win with 90 balls still left.

The all-round show continues a great run of form for the 22-year-old, who was also a key player in India's title win at the Women's Asia Cup earlier this month. She remains one of the most exciting players in India's squad as the team chases gold at the Asian Games.
