Rahmat Erwin Abdullah Wins 75kg Weightlifting Gold by 1kg for Indonesia

Indonesia's Rahmat Erwin Abdullah won the men's 75kg weightlifting gold at the Asian Games by just 1kg. He lifted a total of 366kg at the Nagoya City Trade and Industry Center.

Abdullah snatched 160kg. He then finished with a 206kg clean and jerk. Thailand's Weeraphon Wichuma took silver with 365kg, made up of a 160kg snatch and a 205kg clean and jerk.

The gold was decided on the last lifts. Wichuma landed 205kg to go top on 365kg. Abdullah then took 206kg on his second clean and jerk attempt. That gave him the title. North Korea's Ri Chong-song failed twice at 202kg and had to settle for bronze with 357kg.

It was Indonesia's second gold of the Games. The first came in the men's team badminton final against China. Abdullah is a two-time world champion at 73kg.
