China Sweep Track Cycling Team Pursuit and Keirin Golds

China then completed the sweep in the women's keirin, filling both the gold and silver positions on the podium, with Malaysia the only nation to break up a Chinese one-two by claiming bronze. The result underlines China's strength in depth on the sprint side of the track programme, coming on the same day their team sprint squads had already topped the podium in both the men's and women's events.

The results continue a dominant week for China's track cycling programme at these Games, having already swept both team sprint golds earlier on the programme.
