Bangladesh to Face Sri Lanka in Asian Games Bronze Medal Match

Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka for bronze in the Asian Games 2026 men's cricket competition on Saturday, October 3, after both sides lost their semi-finals a day earlier.

Bangladesh fell to Pakistan in a rain-affected first semi-final, with the match reduced and Pakistan chasing down a revised target of 111 in just 11.3 overs. Sri Lanka endured a far heavier defeat in the second semi-final, bowled out for just 45, their lowest-ever T20I total, as India cruised to a 124-run win built around Ishan Kishan's unbeaten 80.

The bronze medal match is scheduled to be played before the gold medal final at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, with both sides looking to end their campaigns on the podium after missing out on a shot at gold.
