Beach wrestling is making its debut at the Youth Olympics, so Taniya is India's first medallist in the sport at the Games. Dakar 2026 is also the first Youth Olympics held in Africa. The sand-based format is popular on the continent, and the host nation had strong hopes on home soil.
Here is the women's 75 kg podium.
