Harry Kane Reaches 150 Bayern Goals in 153 Games, One Shy of Bundesliga Century

Harry Kane reached a remarkable milestone of 150 goals for Bayern Munich in just 153 appearances across all competitions, scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory at newly promoted Elversberg that also doubled as his 99th Bundesliga goal.

Bayern led through Lennart Karl's early tap-in after a fortunate deflection off Kane, before Elversberg's Maurice Krattenmacher levelled with a stunning curling effort from the edge of the box. Kane settled the contest in the closing stages, latching onto a ball in the box and firing a powerful shot past goalkeeper Nicolas Kristof at his near post, his 99th Bundesliga strike in just 97 appearances and his first league goal of the new season.

The milestone continues an astonishing scoring rate since his £100m move from Tottenham in August 2023, having already broken the record for fastest to 50 Bundesliga goals in just 43 appearances. He now sits on the verge of a century of league goals, with Dieter Muller's long-standing record of reaching the mark in 129 games well within reach. Since the start of the 2023-24 season, Kane has scored ten more goals than any other player across Europe's top five leagues, a run of consistency that has made him one of the favourites for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, to be awarded in London this October. The result also saw Joshua Kimmich make his 500th Bayern appearance, drawing him level with Bastian Schweinsteiger, and extended Bayern's unbeaten away run in the Bundesliga to 28 matches.
