India Men Beat Indonesia 3-0 in Asian Games Table Tennis Opener

The Indian men's table tennis team opened their Asian Games 2026 campaign with a clean 3-0 win over Indonesia in Group F. The tie was played at the Nagoya City General Gymnasium.

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran won the opening rubber. Manav Thakkar then had to fight for his point against Muhammad Junindra. He won a five-game thriller 11-7, 8-11, 11-6, 6-11, 11-9 to make it 2-0.

Manush Shah sealed the tie in straight games. He beat Affan Pratama 11-9, 11-9, 12-10.

The women's team had also beaten Indonesia 3-0 earlier in the day. India's men play Iran next in Group F at 3:00 PM IST today.
