Mitchell Starc Reclaims No. 1 in ICC Test Bowling Rankings as Simon Harmer Re-Enters at Seventh
Mitchell Starc is back at No. 1 in the ICC Men's Test bowling rankings, updated on Wednesday, November 4. The Australian fast bowler has 881 rating points. That is up from 861 in the last update, a gain of 20 points.
Marco Jansen drops from first to second. His rating is 875, one point lower than before. The gap between the two is just six points. Jansen took the top spot only a week ago, so the lead has changed hands again quickly.

The biggest story in the middle of the table is Simon Harmer. He enters the bowling top 15 at seventh with 817 points. He was not on the list in the last update. He took a career-best 6 for 16 and 10 wickets in the match in South Africa's win at Newlands. Scott Boland stays sixth on 821, just four points ahead of Harmer.
Kagiso Rabada is eighth on 801. He reached 350 Test wickets in the same Test. Pat Cummins (789) and Josh Hazlewood (785) are ninth and tenth. Both drop down the table. Noman Ali (777), Josh Tongue (741), Asitha Fernando (732) and Mohammad Abbas (713) fill the next four places.
Nathan Lyon slips from 13th to 15th on 710. Mohammed Siraj entered at 15th last time and has now dropped out of the top 15. Australia still have five bowlers on the list: Starc, Boland, Cummins, Hazlewood and Lyon. South Africa have three: Jansen, Harmer and Rabada.
Starc and Jansen are the two to watch. Starc took 6 for 72 in the first innings at Newlands. Jansen was named Player of the Series. The full list is on our Test bowling rankings page.
