India Women Thrash Bangladesh by 114 Runs to Reach Asian Games Final

India Women stormed into the final of the Women's Asian Games 2026, thrashing Bangladesh Women by a massive 114 runs in the second semi-final at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin.

Put in to bat after winning the toss, India posted a mammoth 195 for 4, built on the back of Shafali Verma's unbeaten 100 off 49 balls. Smriti Mandhana (37) gave India a flying start, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur (40) added to the total in the middle overs.

Bangladesh never recovered from a top-order collapse in reply. Deepti Sharma starred with the ball, returning figures of 3 for 7, while Nandani Sharma (3/25) and Shree Charani (2/7) shared the rest. Opener Dilara Akter's 27 was the only real resistance as Bangladesh folded for just 81 in 15.4 overs.

The result sends India through to Tuesday's gold medal final, where they will face Sri Lanka Women, who beat Pakistan in the first semi-final. Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the bronze medal play-off.
