Commonwealth Games 2026: Australia Tops Medal Table, India Cracks Top 10

Australia sit on top of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games medal table with 51 gold, 24 silver and 35 bronze medals. That's 110 medals in total, well clear of the chasing pack. A dominant swimming program has driven most of Australia's gold-medal haul so far.

India have moved into 10th place with 17 medals: three gold, 10 silver and four bronze. Weightlifting and combat sports have carried India's tally so far. Mirabai Chanu won gold in weightlifting, completing a hat-trick of Commonwealth titles. Rishikanta Singh added a silver in the men's 60kg category with a new Games record in snatch.

India's bigger tests are still ahead. Athletics and swimming, historically tougher medal sources for the country at these Games, have their biggest days coming up before competition closes on August 2.
