Jordan Henderson Completes Chelsea Move on Two-Year Deal

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Jordan Henderson on a two-year contract. The 36-year-old joins on a free transfer after leaving Brentford by mutual consent.

It's Henderson's fourth club since leaving Liverpool in 2023. He first moved to Saudi Arabia with Al Ettifaq, then had a short spell at Ajax, before a year at Brentford in the Premier League. Xabi Alonso has now brought him to Stamford Bridge for his experience and leadership.

Henderson has won eight trophies in his career, including the Premier League and the Champions League. He has 91 caps for England and was part of the squad that finished third at this summer's World Cup.

"Given the size of the club, the manager, who I have great admiration for, and the quality of the players, this was a huge opportunity I couldn't turn down," Henderson said. Chelsea have also signed Danny Welbeck from Brighton this window, with Alonso keen to add experience to a young squad.
