Man City Take Perfect Record Into International Break, United Still Searching

Manchester City head into the Premier League's international break top of the table with a perfect record, five wins from five matches for 15 points, after their 5-3 win over Sunderland.

City sit three points clear of defending champions Arsenal, who suffered their first defeat of the season away at Brighton. Elsewhere, Liverpool moved up to sixth on nine points after a 1-0 win at Bournemouth, with three draws having already cost them six points despite an unbeaten start to the campaign.

At the other end, Manchester United remain under pressure with just five points from their opening five matches after a 1-1 draw at Fulham, leaving them well adrift of the pace early in the season.

The league now pauses for three weeks, with action resuming in October.
