Brazil Replace Injured Wesley and Joao Pedro With Vanderson, Martinelli

Brazil have made two changes to their squad for the upcoming international window after injuries ruled out Roma defender Wesley and Chelsea forward Joao Pedro, with Monaco's Vanderson and Fluminense midfielder Matheus Martinelli called up as replacements.

Wesley was withdrawn on Saturday with a muscle injury, days after returning to full training following an earlier fitness issue. Joao Pedro had already been ruled out days earlier after picking up a knee problem, ending a promising start to the season in which he had been among the Premier League's most effective attacking players.

The changes mark Carlo Ancelotti's first squad alterations of the international break, with Brazil set to play friendlies against Australia and India during the FIFA window.
