Pakistan Beat West Indies by 8 Wickets to Level Test Series 1-1

Pakistan pulled off an 8-wicket win in the second Test at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, to square the two-match series 1-1 against West Indies.

West Indies posted 344 and 117 in their two innings. Pakistan replied with 387 in the first innings and chased down the target with ease, finishing at 77 for 2 in the second.

The result avenged Pakistan's 90-run defeat in the series opener at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, where West Indies had bowled them out for 282 and 120 after posting 311 and 181.

Abdullah Shafique was named Player of the Match for a big first-innings hundred, becoming the first Pakistan batter since 1977 to score 150-plus in a Test innings on West Indian soil.

The result also moves the needle on the ICC World Test Championship table — Pakistan climb above West Indies into 8th place after the win.
