Isak's Fourth Goal of the Season - All Assisted by Gakpo - Sinks Bournemouth

Liverpool moved to nine points from five games with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Bournemouth, courtesy of a second-half goal from Alexander Isak that continued a remarkable early-season pattern with strike partner Cody Gakpo.

The breakthrough arrived just after the hour mark when Gakpo, again the architect, drove into the area and squared the ball across goal, with the delivery taking a slight deflection off Florian Wirtz before falling to Isak to sweep home. Bournemouth pushed hard for an equaliser and were denied a certain second Liverpool goal by a goal-line block from James Hill late on.

The goal was Isak's fourth of the Premier League season, and remarkably all four have now been created by Gakpo, following similar assists in the win over Ipswich and the draw with Nottingham Forest. Isak has already surpassed his goal tally from the whole of last season.

The win takes Liverpool into the international break unbeaten in the league, with two wins and three draws from their opening five fixtures.
