Ferencváros stun AC Milan 2-0 at San Siro in the Europa League

Ferencváros beat AC Milan 2-0 at the San Siro on Thursday night, 5 November 2026, in matchday four of the Europa League league phase. The result was a big shock for the home side and a huge night for the Hungarian visitors.

Lenny Joseph scored both goals for Ferencváros. He found the net twice within about 14 minutes early in the second half. The first goal came after a mistake by Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani, and Joseph made the most of the gift. He then added the second to put his team firmly in control of the game.

Milan did get a chance to fight back late on. Ferencváros substitute Bamidele Yusuf was shown a straight red card in the 77th minute, which left the visitors with ten men for the final stretch. Even with the extra player, Milan could not find a way through. They did not score, and Ferencváros held on to take all three points.

The win keeps Ferencváros perfect in the competition. They have now won all four of their league-phase games, which gives them 12 points. At the halfway point of the league phase, only three clubs still have a 100 percent record: Ferencváros, Bournemouth and Benfica.

For Milan, the picture is much less happy. They have only three points from four games, which is a poor return for a club of their size. With four matchdays still to play, Milan will need to find wins quickly if they want to climb the table and avoid a tricky path into the knockout rounds.

The loss also adds pressure on the home side after a night when they had the chance to turn the game around against ten men and could not. For Ferencváros, the away win at the San Siro is a strong sign for the second half of the league phase, with four matchdays still to play and a perfect record to protect.
