Europa League matchday 4: Juventus, Marseille, Dinamo Zagreb and Bournemouth all win

Four more away wins marked Thursday night, 5 November 2026, in the Europa League. Juventus, Marseille, Dinamo Zagreb and Bournemouth all won on the road in matchday four of the league phase.

AZ Alkmaar 1-2 Juventus. Juventus took control early in the Netherlands. Teun Koopmeiners scored in the 19th minute with a low, left-footed finish. Randal Kolo Muani made it 2-0 in the 37th minute with a first-time left-footed finish after a move with Woltemade. Mexx Meerdink pulled one back for AZ late in the game, but Juventus held on. They now have 10 points from four games.

Bayer Leverkusen 0-1 Marseille. Marseille won at the BayArena. Amine Gouiri scored the only goal late in the second half. It was Marseille's first win and first three points of the league phase.

Sunderland 0-2 Dinamo Zagreb. At the Stadium of Light, Luka Stojković opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a volley from a corner. Dion Beljo added a second around the 39th minute, set up by Stojković. Sunderland hit the woodwork twice and had a goal from Wilson Isidor ruled out for offside. They have won only one of their last six games in all competitions, and manager Régis Le Bris is under growing pressure.

Sparta Prague 1-3 Bournemouth. Bournemouth came from behind. Lewis Cook missed a penalty, which hit the post, after about half an hour. Sparta's Ebrima Singhateh then scored around the 35th minute. Soon after, Sparta's Tobias Guddal was sent off for a second yellow card, around the 38th minute. Tyler Adams equalised early in the second half, Evanilson scored nine minutes from time, and Rayan added a third in the last minute.

The win keeps Bournemouth perfect in the league phase. Along with Benfica and Ferencváros, they are one of only three clubs with a 100 percent record at the halfway point.
